A short marketing piece about a free jewelry-making program for New York City public-high-school students.
THE PROGRAM
Teen Gems gives New York City public-high-school students a semester of jewelry-making classes, free of charge. It’s a chance to learn the craft and explore a creative industry.
I directed the interviews, shot and lit the piece, and built the edit around the students and their work.

MY CONTRIBUTION
I asked students about their time in the program and helped them talk through their experiences in their own words.
I shot and lit the interviews in the workshop, keeping the tools and materials in the frame.
I built the edit around the interviews and footage of students working on their jewelry.
